The client was a major aviation company that initiated the startup of a VLJ air taxi company. As the business model was geared towards providing air taxi services at relatively low cost, it was decided to develop a completely new technology strategy containing support for all required capabilities and not use systems of the aviation company. Vidamore developed a technology strategy and planning.

The technology strategy included sourcing strategy and planning for:

 

• Reservation engine for corporate shuttles and charters
• CRM system
• JIT planner (network scheduling)
• Flight operations management system
• MRO system
• Crew planning, scheduling
• Regulatory requirements management
• Fleet management Incident mgt system
• Web content management (company content)
• ERP Billing / invoicing, Finance, HR, procurement (non-MRO)
• Office IT (laptop, mail)

 

The startup was put on hold due to the economic situation, as was the execution of the strategy.
